Welcome to the humble online home of Forbest Pugs based in Manila, Philippines!
The name Forbest was derived from our philosophy and passion of "Bringing out the best" in everything. This also holds true in our restaurant Forbest Grill which serves quality Filipino food loved by its patrons who can't stop coming back for more. The Forbest name was later used for our kennel because of the same principle we have for our pugs.
The Forbest Pugs line is a result of the support given by many reputable and dedicated breeders from around the globe. We would also like to use this opportunity to thank each and everyone of them for their trust and guidance which has helped us along the way to fulfill our vision.

The prized pug of the Forbest line starts from the very popular Am Ch Simon Shengchee Dancing Tiger, which we acquired from Lucia Torres Simon.
"Tiger was so adorable that we really wanted him to be our foundation for our show dogs. So we asked Lucia if she wanted to sell Tiger to us, but it took a lot of convincing before she decided to allow us to buy her prize pug," adds Stephen.
Plans were then drawn for the campaign of "Tiger" for the local shows. In his debut show in the Philippines, Tiger brought home the top prize in the Toy Group Competition awarded by veteran judge
Bob Dawson. After 8 months of campaigning and in different shows achieving multiple group winnings,
Tiger achieved Hall of Fame status and was declared as the 2003 Pug of the Year. A feat which he repeated for 2004, making it a back-to-back title with Ph Gr Ch Bayvue's Bubbles taking runner-up to achieve a 1-2 in the 2004 Pug of the Year standings.
